FURNITURE CARE INSTRUCTIONS

On Delivery

Upon receiving your newly painted piece take care when removing the protective bubble wrap to avoid damaging the painted surface. Whilst the piece will have sufficiently dried for wrapping purposes, it is likely that the paint/wax/varnish still requires time to fully harden.

Cure Time

Please allow at least two weeks from the date of delivery for the curing process to complete. During this time is advised to avoid using the furniture at all to prevent damage.

Cleaning

To clean your piece, use a damp clean, soft, lint-free cloth.

Waxed Surfaces

If your furniture has been sealed with wax is it recommended that it is periodically re-waxed with a clear, soft, water-based painted furniture wax to help maintain the integrity of the painted surface.

Drawer Maintenance

Over time, moisture in the air can cause the wood to expand and the drawers to stick. If this happens with your furniture, remove the drawer(s) and rub along the runners with soft wax. The drawer should then open and close smoothly.

Prevention of Injury

It is recommended that any large pieces of furniture are fixed to the wall using appropriate brackets to avoid them tipping forward and causing injury and/or damage.

One Of A Kind Designs will not accept responsibility for any damage on your painted furniture arising from general wear and tear, wilful damage or negligence by you or any third party.
